The 7-day private reply window
Meta only allows businesses to send a private message in response to a public comment within 7 days of the original comment. We surface this in the inbox as a countdown so your team can prioritise, and we never claim to bypass it.
Linked Pages required
Instagram Business accounts must be linked to a Facebook Page that you manage. We help you confirm the link is configured before you turn protection on.
No DMs without a comment trigger
We do not send unsolicited Instagram DMs. Private replies only happen in response to a public comment, inside Meta’s allowed window.
What we never do
